When you hear the siren, you have to run. When you hear the siren, you have to hide.

Sadie Richardson didn't see the big deal of sneaking out of school for her free period until she is given the ultimate punishment, detention in the freezing sports hall of Kinterton College. Along for the ride is the notoriously mean spirited Jack Keeling and voiceless Reese Talley. Two souls she'd rather not spend the duration of her sentence with.

But just when things can't get any worse, Sadie hears the siren.

Shelter: Work

I got the idea in my early 20's after I had a dream about being locked in my secondary school overnight, trapped with two bullies. So I penned a mini piece called Lock Down (it wasn't linked to the pandemic)  Then one day, we had torrential weather. The rain was hammering down on the roof, lightning lit up the sky & I imagined a toxic storm. I knew instantly that I had to play with this idea & see what would happen.
